For over two decades, I have been assisting people enhance their relationships with family, friends and coworkers, improve their physical and emotional health and advance their professional careers.
In addition to assisting adults, seniors and older adolescents, I have a particular interest and expertise in working with physicians, lawyers, psychologists, nurses, executives and other professionals who are dealing with personal and work-related challenges. Related to this work, I frequently consult to small and mid-size companies, hospitals, practices, attorneys, professional associations and professional licensing boards on a variety of professional behavior and organizational issues.
I have served on the faculty of Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University Maryland. I am currently, and have been, a member of the Ethics Committee for the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA) for multiple terms, chairing the Committee for two years and co-chairing for two years. I have also chaired MPA’s Colleague Assistance Committee.
I earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and have worked in a variety of settings, including employee assistance programs, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health centers, emergency departments, courts and not-for-profit organizations. I am a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland.
